Mission
Welcome to @sureshbadamath, your trusted space for meaningful insights into mental health and medicolegal issues. I’m Prof. Suresh Bada Math, guided by the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita’s "Karmanye Vadhikaraste" - a call to dedicate ourselves fully to our duties without attachment to the results. As intellectuals, we bear a sacred duty to disseminate knowledge, uphold justice, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Equally inspiring is "Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya," a sloka from Upanishad, which translates to "Lead me from darkness to light." Darkness symbolizes ignorance, while light represents knowledge - a path we must walk together to break the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.

I began my YouTube journey with two deeply personal experiences that profoundly changed the way I viewed postgraduate medical education.
The first was during an MD Psychiatry exam, where I was an external examiner. I saw bright students struggling, not because they lacked talent, but because they were never truly taught. When I dug deeper, I found something heartbreaking their college had ghost faculty, teachers who showed up once a month just to sign the attendance register and take salaries. That moment shook me. I knew I couldn’t stay silent. My mentor gently said, “If you want change, start teaching online.” That’s how my YouTube journey began with the hope of reaching every student who deserved better.
The second reason was my dream to strengthen India’s mental health system. I wanted to equip primary care doctors with the skills to handle real-world mental health challenges. So, I recorded and shared every training video needed for the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP).
Hence, I began this journey of teaching PG students and healthcare professionals about mental health, driven by the clear purpose, to make quality mental health education accessible to all and to bridge the wide treatment gap that still exists across the globe.
